Did you know?
"Blood travels 60,000 miles (96,540km) per day on its journey through the body"
Jay's story
“I would describe myself as an ordinary guy, busy working, enjoying time with my family and holidays in my caravan. But three years ago I collapsed suddenly at home. My wife found me unconscious on the floor.
I was rushed to hospital and the doctors found that I had internal bleeding. My only chance of survival was a blood transfusion.
I can’t imagine how my family must have felt at the time, watching me lying there in hospital with drips and tubes coming from me; it must have been terrifying for them.
Thankfully, the blood I desperately needed was available. I made a full recovery and it’s all thanks to blood donors.”
Where can I donate?
