Our donors are at the heart of everything we do and in order for us to meet future demands from our hospitals we must satisfy their changing needs.
We have carried out an in-depth review and identified what we do well and what more we can do to improve our service to donors.
Measures to improve our service include:
- More flexible opening times which reflect the changing needs and lifestyles of our donors.
- Reduced waiting times by giving donors the opportunity to make an appointment, or book a bed, whilst still retaining opportunities for donors who prefer to attend without a pre-booked appointment.
- Training our staff to be multi-skilled will enable us to collect blood more efficiently and reduce the length of time it takes to donate.
