Change in Donor Selection Guidelines

The guidelines for accepting male donors who have had sex with another man have changed

The permanent exclusion of men who have sex with men from donating blood has been lifted on Monday 7 November and replaced by a 12 month fixed period of deferral from the last relevant sexual contact.
