The National Assembly for Wales goes ‘red’ at The Senedd

World Blood Donor Day is celebrated by blood services worldwide and takes place every year on 14th June. The chosen date has particular significance as it marks the birthday of Karl Landsteiner, the Nobel Prize winner in 1930, who discovered the ABO blood.

To mark the occasion Assembly Members from all political parties came together at the Senedd building to show their support by wearing red in honour of blood and platelet donors in Wales.
